My dance and choreography experience
Dance has always been a large part of my life, and it showed me my love of music and audio. From childhood at Northeast Ohio Dance, leading to exploring through improv, choreography, and hip-hop classes, but also through groups like K-Krew, and leading currently to Kinetic; A way for me and my friends to express our love for music, dance, and performance.

For about a decade starting in middle school, I was a dancer at Northeast Ohio Dance Company. While there, I performed often, and I took ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip-hop classes. Once I graduated high school, I graduated from NEOD as well and found a dance team at Kent State to grow my passion.

At Kent State I joined K-Krew Dance, A K-pop dance team for which I became an officer and then president/vice-president for 2 years before graduation. K-Krew truly gave me the opportunity to find my own style, passion, and reason for dancing, and gave me the chance to learn what a supportive community can do for an individual, and group as a whole. During this time with K-Krew, I formed Kinetic with friends, I took more hip-hop and choreography classes, where I grew my strength and confidence in myself and my place in the world.

Title: Death Roll into Hope
Song(s): Death Roll (instrumental) by Doechii & Fireflies by Doechii
Made in early 2024. For me, this represents choosing to walk a path of inner turmoil, fighting to find love for oneself through the struggles of mental illness, chronic illness, and identity. Although a bit rough around the edges, the piece emphasizes the heavy weight of existence and societal expectations when trying to carve your way in the world. I hope you can find your own meaning in it.
